Any OSS boat info?
 

Just woundering....any boat count in SV or any other class in Biloxi....
I know the drivers meeting was at 5pm today....

as of this writing....approx 30 boats, so far. 6 superV, 6 SVL.

Bruce was that the count before or after the drivers meeting????. Spoke to a friend of ours as he was heading into the meeting and he said maybe more. Any idea who is going to supply us with photos there???

I dont know who will be providing pics. I know Klaatu said he was going to be there. I'll try and get a better count after the owners meeting.

I figured 12+ SV's as far as SS I'm figuring 6 or 7....let me know if you hear anything on the SV's maybe some are just late....

one or two SS got turned away because they are open cockpit

I saw Mike Mahjess at the Cove in Deerfield tonight. He had drink in hand and was chasing some with me, so I doubt he's leaving in the am either. :D :drink: :D

Well then hopefully Stickerboy is on his way. I also though that Berry Cuda was registered in the begining of the year as well.

Dennis Berry told me a few weeks ago he planned to race Biloxi, but Chris was with him in Miami. I would imagine it is tough to get here from Bermuda 2 weekends in a row and have a life/business.

I will post some pics in the am i need to resize them 1st,

DPT, Ryan's boat is not here he had some issues with it we drove over today arrived at 1230 been doing his stickerbay gig all day, we just finished Page Motorsports, at 11pm .. but they fed us well burgers and Crawfish . :D

Sat morn. nice weather and ready for testing. Everyone is pumped to get in the water and let it rip. Lot of new equipment and 9 new OSS teams for this year in the pits. Will try to have Pete B post as much as possible for you all at home. If you have questions post them and pete will try to answer them on a NON official answer.

Late Entry Peppers just arrived bringing the boat total to 31, and 6 boats running OSS Cat lite. Most teams are preparing to go to the cranes as I type, For a afternoon of testing. I will try to get more pics but having technical difficulties ( Lack of NiCad Batteries) and cant find the charger.

In all classes in OSS, they must be canopy boats. That's their rules....
I am surprised one or two without canopies would have shown up to race without knowing this. :confused:

They must not be OSO members. Get them signed up!!! :drink:

Now that makes more sense.

When you stated earlier they were turned away, it sounded like they showed up to the site and then found out they couldn't run.

At least they didn't make the whole trip then.... :eek:

Allen Christy (open Super Stock boat) was informed that it is an insurance issue. He was also told that they are checking with their provider to see how difficult it will be to change. I have been on the receiving end of two conference calls from OSS Brass. I know first hand how interested OSS is in having our class participate with them.
I do wonder how all of the open boats that have been turned away will take the news, if an exception is made for our class. I hope Biloxi is a blast and the racing is safe. SQ

Kittin.....I lost the L in SVL.....are you guys going to show at any SBI/APBA races.....if not the first race that we can do of OSS that don't conflict will be Orange Beach, AL. So hope you guys will be there.....

good testing action today Typhoon broke on first round, fixed and went back out, Team Reliable looked real good but sound like she had a lot more during first round hit the rev limiter a few times, but with 5 time world UIM CLASS 1 Champion Steve Curtis on the sticks they are surely likely to contend.

Yes, Ron P. Not sure what Jerry is up to this year. Good to see some more UIM talent racing here in the states. Steve Curtis can get the job done for Tom for sure. Be kool to see Dyke and Curtis dual it out here in the States like they do in Europe in Class 1.
