Throttle-Up Propellers Named Presenting Sponsor of Offshore Powerboat Race

Panama City, Florida - Monday, May 9, 2005 – Thunder on St. Andrews Bay welcomes Throttle-Up Propellers of St. Petersburg, Florida as a Presenting Sponsor of the SBI/APBA offshore powerboat races scheduled for May 21-22, 2005.

As part of the Sponsorship, Throttle-Up owners Matt & Julie Croce will hold a free propeller set-up and tuning session in Panama City on Friday May 20, 2005.

Race teams, performance, and offshore fishing boat owners will have a unique opportunity have their boats evaluated and test various propeller setups during the set-up and tuning session. The Throttle-Up Propeller Session will be held at the Panama City Marina. Hours for the one-day session are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Boats will be evaluated on a first come basis.

Matt Croce is internationally known for his “black magic” prop tuning skills and ability to tweak out a little more speed and performance from a propeller. Throttle-Up custom tunes all brands of propellers for inboard, inboard/outboard, and outboard propulsion systems.

Throttle-up is a Distributor of the Hydromotive brand propeller and is the exclusive source for Hydromotive 6-blade high performance racing propellers.

Throttle-Up’s racer support program includes on-site presence of their emergency repair shop at select offshore powerboat race venues where they offer no-cost services to race teams. Their on-site emergency repair services are not limited to propellers. At previous race venues Throttle-Up has repaired engine exhaust headers, drive shafts, and even team mopeds to keep the racers going.

Matt and Julie are the two nicest people in offshore. We should all support them whenever we can. Nice going guys.
