Teague was running strong with the old Fountain. Vern was out there in Gentry, Travis in the (Circus Circus) Skater.
There was lots of talk about a nastalgia class for the old boats that are not competative and are not being raced right now. I hope that some people get inspired and come out to the next race out here. Most of the boats were p-class. It was fun except for the pier wobbling every time a swell hit it, the kids liked it. :D :D pat W |

SHIFTER...
Do some of the Offshore (SCOPE?) stll put on a show at BAYFAIR as part of the Unlimited Hydro racing circuit down in Mission Bay??? |
Re: San Diego Race
I have'nt stayed up with the politics out here this year. There was not much from the SCOPE crowd that I saw out there. Bayfair was not a part of this race. They normally invite the offshore boats as a filler like the drag boats and the GN's. It was very entertaining a couple of years ago watching the big boats on the hydro course. They sounded more impressive.
Most of the west coast group is now running national (Nigel, Conrad, Teague, Whittier, ect.. The only boat I saw was f1-11 Lavey craft that made the trek back out here. I keep needling Vern to get a big race next year out here next year. We will see. pat W |

Re: San Diego Race
That is the boat. It was a tripple and it was converted to a twin and a pleasure set-up.
