Re: How bout those SS boats ?
The big is advantage is allowing the motors to run at a higher RPM range wich will gain you better acceleration numbers. We run 2 to 1 gears at 8200 RPM and the 2.5's like to be in the 7 to 8k range in RPM. You need to call Matt and Julie at Throttle Up 727-531-2255 and give them your numbers and they can tell you for sure what the best all around prop is for your application. They are extremley good at what they do an they support the offshore racers at each race.

Re: How bout those SS boats ?
What would be the major benefit of dropping the motors a tad and running 14.5" vs 15" diameter props?? If water pressure is still on the safe side wouldnt the 15" props hook up better providing better slip #'s??[/QUOTE]
The key is to have only as much blade area in the water as necessary. Any more then needed is just drag The trick is to find that thin line |
