Re: close call for JBS
We feel truly lucky to have Jeff and Joe still with us. We have studied the on-board cameras and it was one of the most amazing accidents i have ever seen that both drivers could walk away...unscathed...we at JBS racing thank you for your support . Thanks to Steve and Tammy Page and all there crew for putting on the race.

Re: close call for JBS
Glad JBS is ok, half a second later and our boat would have come right across there canopies and not ahead of them.
Most don't realize our boat(Lightning Strikes) barrel rolled over the top of JBS and was launched 20ft into the air, landed upside, skidding on the canopies and eventually barreling right side up. Thank god for CANOPIES! Angel 1 safety was over us when the accident occured, this is how we were able to better gather the facts of the incident. |

Re: close call for JBS
The stern of of our boat is what came across the engine room. Our trim tab is what took of the stbd engine plenum. Ther corner of the stern has all the markings from the exhaust.
I was refering to the bow hitting the canopies directly would have been disasterous! |

Re: close call for JBS
I have no idea how our boat was able to roll right side up???? That was lucky, we easily could have remained upside down.
I have no idea how our boat was still running? We took on a lot of water, lost the trim tab, but the engines and drives were still operable. We had water pouring in the air vents into the cockpit. The boat popped up like a submarine emerging from the water. I have not heard about Lisa yet? |
