Guys, here is the deal. We need a big show. this is a stepping stone for next year. Everyone up here wants a National Race, and it takes Money. I can sell off of this race for next year. We have a lot of people working night and day, but without the boats what is the sense. We did our part now you do yours. Call everyone you know. I will make any deal I have to. The Boyz have supported a lot of people over the last few years, It is pay back time. Dont make us call you. Call us. Come to the greatest race site in the Northeast. You will not go home without a full stomach, a trophy, a check, and stories to tell for a long time. The Twisted Sisters have out done themselves. Welcome all to the Jersey Boyz Grand Prix. What no title Sponsor? Na we cant be bought. Smitty

I've enjoyed working with Jenkinson's for 20 plus years but this really puts the excitement back into it. This should be a fantastic event.

Can I get some clarification?
With Point Pleasant no longer the location for the race, will the course still run up to Jenkinson's (by Manasuan Inlet)?

Re: OPA Point Pleasant Race
OK!
I just got an update and this makes things much clearer now.
Hello Race Fans,
It's still early in the season and the Atlantic City race is the
priority right now, but there's been some developments regarding the August
race that you need to know about.
After thirty-seven years of racing in Point Pleasant Beach, we are
moving the race.
This race has been known under several different names throughout the
years and has had many different sponsors. The one sponsor that stands
out as unwaivering in their support of the race has been Jenkinson's.
The Storino family and everyone at Jenkinson's has been an absolute
pleasure to work with over the years and we can only hope that at some point
in the future they may want the race back in Point Pleasant Beach.
For 2005, the Surf Club in Ortley Beach has signed on as the host of
this year's race, which will be known as the Jersey Boyz Racing Crew
Offshore Grand Prix.
We will still come out of Manasquan Inlet but the race course will
reside about seven miles down the beach giving a different audience a
chance to witness the summer spectacle. And what a spectacle it will be. We
have a grudge match between six or more of the Super Vee Light teams.
Several of the Super Vees will be here, a host of big P1 boats including
the Turbine Powered AMF boat. Add in Bacardi Silver and the new DF
Young SuperCat and you have one hell of a show.
We've also moved the dry pits. This year they will be located at the
Jersey Shore Marina, on Rt 70 in Brick. The owner of the Marina has given
us the use of the entire facility. Including all launching, and
fueling. So far fifteen vendors have signed on and the official Jersey Boyz
dunk tank will be in use. I'm sure someone would like to see Augie take a
swim!
The Surf Club promises a fantastic prerace party and an awards ceremony
that will include Miss New Jersey as the Trophy Presenter.
It's sad to see Jenkinson's go yet its exciting to move to a new
location, plus we get to take the race boats through the canal again!!!!!!
Probably not on plane this time.
Stay tuned as everyone is working very hard to make this a great event.

As per my suggestion at the spring meeting, I am happy to see you guys finally were able to make a move in the right direction had you not got the backing needed from the local businesses in Point Pleasant Beach.
I know I may have suggested Belmar, but Ortley Beach works just fine!
The streets are trailer friendly there as well! Nice and wide!
This could not have been a better opportunity for Offshore in Ocean County.
NOW LET'S DO IT!!! This year's race should be the largest it has seen in years!!!
