Re: Callan
Bacardi hit 185 in his first run on Sunday and made several more attempts to beat it but the air was way too thick.
AMF ran the turbine boat and hit 122mph to win his class! Not bad for an 18k lb boat! We saw a three mile per hour difference between GPS and Radar. We went through at 110 mph on gps. |
Re: Callan
Believe it or not the Play Craft owner approached the AMF team about putting a turbine on a Pontoon boat so that they could break the 100 mph barrier! Of course they are going to remove the BBQ grill from the bow on the new one!

Re: Callan
Was funny too, on one of the pontoons we noticed that they had the front door on the bow open for more speed :D

Re: Callan
No thats just how they feed the air to the motors! Sophisticated air intake! :evilb:

He believes there may be 115 mph in it once it's all dialed in. Time will tell, hopefully in a safe manner. Nuckin Futs !!! :D Cougarman |
