albums of all the pictures I am taking are now located on my page... if you go to the album you can click on lightbox view in the top left and get thumbnails.

I'm sorry to say that I have no pictures of race boats for the day... I would love to have taken some, but they won't allow me into the pits... I am willing to buy the armband and every team gets extra VIP passes... will some team support me and my wife we asked in an older corpus thread and got no return.... it is really upsetting looking through the gate and seeing boats too far away to take decent pictures of.... I came here early so I could make the best of this weekend... the people at the gate had no idea what to do, as far as getting in... WTF... where do I get the VIP armband... they are charging $5 sat and $10 sun to get into pit areas.... I'm desperate here... I could see the boats this close from at home on freeze frame video....

Top Spin. I'm sure it was just a matter of being down there right as the fences were being completed and the volunteers showed up with instructions to not let anyone inside the gates. Simply a security measure for all the teams involved and equipment. We have been involved with several races in both organizations and have been denied access to the pits even after we were just there. Once the full time staff showed up we got armbands and life was back to normal. I would count this one as bad luck and I would bet that today you have some passes.

Thanks guys, I was just venting yesterday and thought I would be able to make the connections while here in Corpus. I had written a thread earlier about getting passes, and no one replied.... accept LapseOfReason.. aka catmando.... I guess that should have been a hint I wasn't gonna get in behind the lines :D ... I mean waht connections does he have?

btw.... does anyone that is here know where the handicapped parking is?

I'm sure if you asked any of the SVL Teams they will get you a armband....most of them are on OSO alot....
There are pleanty of teams out there that will help out...
I'm sure you will get in today with no problem....

I want to give a HUGE thankyou to team Typhoon.. I just got back to the room and will have many pics online asap... (I took 1000+ today) OSS is a top knotch orginization and I believe I was kep out as well as any others accept essential personel due to the tradgedy from the Reliable team yesterday.. we all have them and their team mate in our prayers.

Great to see Popeye's fried chicken and team Imco there.
Stan and Company being from LA, and IMCO driver Matt Reed from Biloxi.
both dealing with Katrina and Rita. then able to make the race still.

sharkey... the program I used to make the webpages is called Porta and makes these slideshows really easily... it creates the thumbnails and everything in just a few clicks.... I'll try to find a link and if I can't I'll host the file for a while.
