Pop made an announcement regarding eligibility at one of the first races of the season. I think it was Ft. Lauderdale or Marathon. The SBI/APBA Rules are dated 3/15/2005. Hall of Champions is covered in the Rule Book.

I understand the induction ceremonies are a really moving experience. If you look at the list of past inductees into the Hall of Champions you get an idea of how much Offshore Racing history is involved.

It is easy to understand why teams become totally focused on achieving this goal. I would think that anyone who aspires to be a Champion would not feel that their racing career was complete until they have attained this accomplishment.

There is nothing else like it...and never will be.
