2006 Schedule

Are there any talks of a 2006 schedule from either association?
I'm more curious as to weather anyone has give thought to coming to Cleveland in '06?

Also, what do the teams thing about Cleveland? (When they did have a race here)
What did you like/dislike about Cleveland?

SBI schedule is pretty much set and will be out soon. I dont think u will see any changes, and the dates will be the same as the always have been over the years. You will see a few new sites this year...

Re: 2006 Schedule

Yeah, the pits were dusty. That seems to be the story across the board.
That year the pits were on the west side of the Port Of Cleveland. Too far away from the spectators. The flats, by the way, are pretty much no longer there. The entire east bank is dead and under construction.

Thinking of working with OSS to bring them to Cleveland this coming season.

Raced in Cleveland twice..and loved it both times....

Great racing....and I have yet to be to a bad race in the Great lakes area...
Grand Haven and Mentor...also were great....I also think the people that were envolved had a lot to do with....

Would love to see Cleveland back.......

Re: 2006 Schedule

A few of us Cleveland guys are tyring to put this together. We have the name of a promoter to help us and are meeting with him in a few days, but we really are passionate about making this race extremely unique, and first class.
The 7 of us have never put together such a big event before, but we all have some good experience to bring to the table to put this thing on. We have some sponsors that, so far, say they are very interrested and we are working on more every day.
But that's, not what I am looking for here. Here on OSO, I am looking to see what you guys want. I have one drivers input already, but the more the better.
Here's some pointers I got already from a racer...

Need a circular unloading area for the truck drivers, preferrable 2 lanes.
Cocktail nights (need more info)
Racer village (what exactly is a racer village)
Chappell service

Also, we must supply trophies for 3 positions for each class. What's a good trophy look like? What's a bad trophy look like. I know some of you guys have pictures.

This, of course, is just a start, and the more I can get from you guys, the better we can make this event. Mark my words, there will be a race in Cleveland in 2006. It's not official yet, but you can mark my words!!!

Sounds good. It looks like we are working with OSS to bring them to Cleveland rather than the usual APBA. I think it's a smart move for us northerners.
The logo below is some fun I was having last night. It's not a final draft.

Typically it is where the Dry Pits (boats on trailers being displayed) are along with activities or events to add to the shows are held.
