Just alot bigger. It's roughly 200lbs lighter than a #six drive set up. |
Re: New Merc Ace Drives
How much power will this drive handle?

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
Does it have the same prop shaft size as the #6s ???

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
The Ace drive will NOT be legal in OSS this year because it will not be available to general public until June. The owners in the class will vote after the Worlds and before January 15 on any new configuration issues. (personally I would Love to try a pair out) :D

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
You will be able to buy an ACE drive without the motor in about a year or so. Right now you have to buy the entire package.

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
Has Mercury designed another trans. for this? The description says " a Bravo like clutch cone design".

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
I think you will see a few pair of them on the race course very soon for testing...

Re: New Merc Ace Drives
I think these might just be the ticket for scl/superv/ and some p and f class boats.
Anything to create more reliability. Frank will SBI allow them in P class if someone buys the "Package". That would be a great testing ground to start things off. Stan I would enjoy watching you "test/ware " a pair of those things out. Marc AMF Offshore #26 Turbine Platinum |
