OPA sites

For the guys that have not been to these race sites could locals possibly post some pictures of where the Dry pits will be,wet pits will be and typical water conditions. That would be a big help to plan setup.
Thanks for any help!

Re: OPA sites

If you go to www.oparacing.com, on the schedule page, click on the name of each race site and you'll get info about hotels. Hope this helps.

Re: OPA sites

Thats is good info but who is the host hotel for each event? Or 1st choice where to stay I see Bwora host are sold out. What about the dry pits are they okay in a motorhome?

Re: OPA sites

There's a new feature on the OPA site. Next to each race on the schedule page is a link to local hotels in the area. You can book then right on line through the OPA site.

Hope that helps ya get there.

The Dry Pits at the Saint Clair race are perfect for a motorhome to stay in. I belive you just need to call ahead of time to resere a spot. :drink:

At what races? Point Pleasant should be fine for motorhomes. Cambridge is OK as is Ocean City.

Re: OPA sites

Well I live to close to pt. to stay overnight. Cambridge I booked the penthouse for a week.St Clair and Algonac host are sold out so I thought I might as well bring my own five star accommodations there and possibly a few other sites. Oldrace fan why would I need a reservation to stay in the drypits if I am racing?

Re: OPA sites

The dry pit area in St Clair is huge. I show 33 OPA boats going to St Clair. Add in another 45 for OSS and this is going to be some party. :evilb:

All boats don't attend all races, plus I don't believe everyone has responded with their schedule so my numbers would be on the low side.
