Billy,
Your dads boats; "Hustler" and then "Bounty Hunter" were always among my favorites as a kid spending summers at the Jersey Shore.I think my favorite was the red 35ft Cig #51 that was later replaced with the brown 39ft Cig #15 in the late seventies. Are you racing the 36ft Cigarette D-51 "Bounty Hunter" that was entered in some in NPBA and APBA races in the eighties? It is really great to see you getting into racing.See you in Fall River.

Mark

Thanks Guys, The 36 is the D-51 from the Eighties. Should be P4-51 in Fall River. Working on the specifics day to day. Any which way, it'll be a good time. Especially with an organization like OPA "TOP NOTCH" Thanks again Fellas, Gotta go order a GPS unit, talk to you soon

Wow is that cool. I guess having your dad come out for the Point race got his blood boiling again.

Welcome to OPA!

Re: life jackets for racing

SRP makes a full jacket with short legs. I ran with them in my F1 boat. In a open cockpit boat at 70 MPH or higher the vest jackets seemed to ride up on us. Maybe if you are standing its better but sitting the full jacket works great. I will take a stab and say its probably safer as well. If you get ejected you will want the best protection money will buy. DON'T BE CHEAP ON YOUR SAFETY EQUIPMENT!
