Looking for opinions on hydraulic steering for twin engine bravo

Ok, I need some to get my race adventure into motion, but what kind? Is one better than the other, or in some cases are you just paying more for a brand name? Is this something I could find used on e-bay? Or are used ones junk and I should just save my money and buy new.

Any help would be appreciated, I would hate to go buy something and find out its "Not Race Legal"

I did find this set in the OSO classifieds - Any good? asking price is 3.5K (Ok price?)

I don't know about the price of the above setup, but I have the same MM setup on a twin side by side Bravo setup on my Active Thunder. This is the only setup that Pat & Active Thunder install, and mine is and has been flawless.

I had an Imco setup on my last boat. I had an exterior hose rupture, but other than that, it was also a great setup.

That setup would be race legal. Its a very good setup and probably worth 3500. Price it up from MM.

I have had that same setup on the original Wazzup for 76 races, with no issues at all. Most of the systems out there are relatively the same. The difference with the Marine Machine, is the ends are all Billet not cast. Much stronger. I would swear by it. By the length of the tie bar that is a stagger setup. You may need a different tie bar. Smitty

We use Marine Machine steering on both of our boats and never had a problem. Plus they are a racer friendly company.

Imco Steering Here. No Problems And You Can Buy New From Them For Same Price

If you offered $3500 including the right length tie bar for your application, you would have a good buy and a system that will last indefinitely.

I think IMCO makes the best setup. Very well engineered and priced well.

M&M also has nic stuff.
