Well said Mike! All of us do greatly appreciate what you do for the sport, John. Obviously Extreme Boats Mag thinks so too....seeing as they made ya the 2006 "Professional" Extreme Boater of the year!!! Well deserved indeed....

It's very encouraging that you guys see how much effort were putting into getting the outside world to "see" offshore as we see it. We'll lead the charge knowing that you guys have our backs.

John is the man,

Many of you may not know me, but I started off with Scotty in the kean boat in 2004, in the Pantera. Scotty and I hooked up to do some testing, and he wanted to put me on the boat, but I told him to put someone with more experience on board(Monte), and I would stay around for support in the background. We did very well that year, and Scott met John to run the 2005 season, in Miami 2005, Scott called me on my way down to the pits on Friday, and said his motor was screwed, I told him to be patient, and we would get it worked out. When I got there, Anthony Smith(smitty jr), had it worked out, and Scott went on to race. We had fun, but Scott, and John had bigger things on their minds, Scott kinda asssumed the role of team manager, and John ran with Smitty that year, and Scott, his cousin and I(in Marathon) ran the Pantera. The following year, John and Scott took the tour on the road, and Scott offered for me to come along, but with overseas commitments, and me in a new marriage, I decided not to tag along. I am glad to see that the traveling roadshow will be back in Florida, and I cant wait to party with Scott, and john, and all the crew.

What I am trying to say is thanks to John for taking Scott to the top, and allowing me to be a part of such a wonderful team.

Very nice Mike. It looks like everyone racing Offshore this year will have the pleasure of doing so with Team AMF. John has had contact with all of the Offshore "powers", and is in the ideal position to understand the problems and help heal some fractures in our sport. His agenda seems to be the promotion of racing and racers and he is doing so by practicing inclusion instead of exclusion. I think if major forward progress of some kind is made this year, it will be in large part the results of John and Team AMF's efforts. John you are indeed the man. SQ
