I believe Gary is done, he was done awhile ago but kept getting sucked back in so I guess he trying to kick the habit. Good luck to Gary and all he did for offshore.
It's to bad that he is hanging it up because I enjoyed watching him race a few years ago. Sorry to see you retire and thanks for putting on a great show for all us racing fans. You and your contribution to Offshore Powerboat Racing with be missed.

What role did Reggie have in building an MTI catamaran ? It was raced by David Woods and Art Lilly, until Dan Cambell in his 50 ft Jaguar cat driven by the 902 movie star Jason Priestly who failed to maintain his lane in the first turn hitting the Pier 57 boat dead on the side in 2003 in Miami. |
Thanks guys for the kind words but yes I am done racing. If we could have got another sponsor besides me we would have stayed but you know how that goes.We put together a great team and the boat has always been very competitive.I would publically like to thank them all now especially Billy Moore, Todd Werner ,Joe Phillips, and Ricky Garrett there are none any better and thank-you to our fans who have always been there and Randy ,Reggie, and David Woods for building a awesome ride. I plan to still stay involved in racing and help the Gulf Coast Poweboat Association putting on Thunder In The Gulf along with other local promoters.I havent decided whether I am in for a poker run boat or a fast fish boat but I have been looking at both along with a Baha buggy we 'll still have some fun. Gary,
A race boat, 2 trucks, and 2 trailers for $300K??? that's a good deal..Wish I could get it but no money :( |
It is actually all listed on offshore only with the raceboat, trailer 4 sterling engines, spare parts,11 sets of propellers ,and international tow truck with crew box and separate generator for $310,000 and the separate hi-tech transporter is listed for $100,000. This is less than one half of what i got in it and we will consider separating engines and props. Gary

And Todd with all that $$$$ and no racing???
Gary bring it out for one last big splash in Key west....what a way to go out...I know i'm going to miss u guys....

Gary, I Have An Etching Made Of The Boat And Would Like To Send On To You If You Don't Mind... Just Give Me An Address? Restaurant? Sal( New Orleans)
GARY, OR ELSE EMAIL ME @ [email protected] IF YOU WANT IT SENT TO SOMEWHERE ELSE... IT CAME OUT WELL AND WE (WIFE & ME) WANT YOU TO HAVE IT..... SAL
Gary - you wrote "Baja Buggy" ?- as in dirt / off road ? If you ever want to make a little run from Ensenada to Cabo we need a couple of more drivers for a BC class desert car - not a race but at the end of the day you would never know it - 6 cars 12 drivers -
SAL---We would love to have the etching of the boat and would gladly trade some teeshirts from the team, you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I'll give you a address and get yours-----JAMES- we bought our ranch from Galles Racing who won Indy races a few years ago and now race class one with score---and we were planning a baja run with BC cars with Wide Open Baja in Oct. but we had to move it to Jan. because they got recent hurricane damage-it sounds like we might be talking the same thing--------MARYLANDMARK---I love the pictures of your boat and had never seen a Concept before and have been looking at Fountains and Donzi's in the 34 -38 foot range-what are you asking for your boat?
Tony- I tried to send you a e-mail through offshore only who tells me your mailbox is too full to accept messages-your spending to much time fighting with the Graaton boys instead of checking your mail - I sold the transporter but have all sorts of goodies that will help you stay in front of Tom and Bob -my e-mail is [email protected] Gary
