"Racing" Miss Geico???
I tell you what; I really enjoyed the racing and the overall show from Destin and getting to see the Turbine boat run out there. I had a blast watching Miss Geico's speed runs in Destin and I think the Turbine class is really an awesome class but running really as an exhibition boat only right now, they really need somebody to “race” against them and not just be out on the course at the same time as they are. The best appearance of a race was when CRC had their 850SC boat out there on Saturday and they made it look like racing but if they had a couple more turbines out there, they really would be racing. As I understand it, AMF will have three boats running next year but all of them will be numbered 113 and the Platinum will be a backup for the MTI and that will be a backup for the Mystic.
Where is Firestorm Turbines? Can’t they rig a boat to “race” against Geico? Now that would be cool. Anyway, AMF keep up the show and the turbine boat class but when you can, I would love to see some “racing” instead of an exhibition just pure speed… Best of luck to you guys in Key West and keep the shinning side up... Be safe out there, as your speeds are awesome. Ben |
It would be nice to see Callan come back out with thier turbine. I thought when they introduced the platinum princess, their turbine guy was rigging another boat to race!
I know I read it in a magazine. Also there are plenty of qualified Drivers and Throttlemen out there that would love the seat time. |

Or, they could have their exhibition boat for record runs and publicity, and have another boat in say, supercat class, competing against the other teams. The Miss Longlite has t-55 at 3000 each. Geico, has t-53's as 1850 each. It wouldn't exactly be like spec racing. Anyone know why geico did not start with bud select and the extremes today?

JBS bought a new mystic turbine race boat this past weekend. It is being rigged now.
As for turbine vs piston Bud and crc have already proven that they can run with the turbines. Everyone in the class knows why were out there. Including the fans. As for REAL racing its hard to race when you start a half of a lap behind boats your speed class. watch the St Clair (FSN) race. I'll say it again Extreme class boat racing is and should be ONE CLASS. If you are looking for parity go race SCL or Supercat. ALL the HP of ALL the boats are different HP and weights. So how can one classify them same. Extreme Class 2008 GEICO Bud AquaMania CMS CRC Cintron JBS |

Are you saying that JBS, formerly known as 2004 F2 World Champions will start racing next year? Chris |
