Prayers needed for Howard Murray's son Jonathan... :(
 

I am posting this on behalf of Howard Murray who is the owner of Firestorm Turbines (http://www.firestormturbines.com) who is need of a lot of prayers for his son Jonathan. Please see below and believe in the power of prayer for Jonathan.

Hello to all... apologies for the mass mailing.

I know you all either as family, friends or work associates.

My son Jonathan was diagnosed at Halloween this past year with an inoperable brain tumor, and we just returned from our three month MRI analysis today with the news that it has grown in size and now is invading his brain stem. Jonathan continues to be our lovable happy little boy who is looking forward to being six this April 10th.

We begin radiation therapy this Thursday five days a week for six week. They cannot tell us much about our future beyond the fact that a non aggressive tumor of this type usually gives 3 to 4 years of life expectancy.... and we seem to have the aggressive type.

I don't know what religion each of you subscribes to... if any at all.... but we could sure use some prayer and positive thoughts headed this way for my little boy.

I hope this finds you all enjoying life and taking advantage of each and every day to make sure that the special people in your life know that you love them.

I was a little worried when it all seemed to be vet related... uh... how bad IS you health care system in the US...:(

Our prayers are with Jonathon and your family

I went through a medical crises with my boy in 07, I continue to pray every day that his illness does not return. I will include Jonathan in my prayers.

God bless Jonathan. Tell him that he is a champion, a truly heroic little guy. I will say a prayer for him and I know that he is loved by God. I also send my best to his mom and dad and family. Keep the faith!

My continued thanks to all of you who are donating your time and effort and Money to cancer research. We are trying like heck to get to Biloxi for the season opener with Jonathan so he can watch the big race live! From there we travel courtesy of the Make a Wish organization to Disney in Orlando where we will spend his 6th birthday havin a great time!

You all would not believe how well Jonathan takes all of this. He is such a little guy and every time I see him strapped to that machine taking a BIG dose of radiation to the head... I have to wonder what he is thinking... (Mostly I think he is busy watching Diego on the tv.... lol... thanks to the nurses at Princess Margret who came up with that idea...)

We hope to see you all in Biloxi... keep up the good work for all the kids!!

Well it is all set... we will see you all in Biloxi!!! Jonathan and Emily are realy looking forward to their first airplane flight ever, the boats and races, and of course Disney after the race.

Our family is going through a very difficult time right now and the support we have recieved form those we don't, or barely, know has been overwhelming for us. No one should have to go through this and I urge each and every one of you to do what you can to help support the people and facilities that are working towards a cure. And not just cancer... although we are obviously biased towards it... but disease in all its forms is an ongoing battle that cannot be won without support. Thank you to those of you who support already.

Thanks so much for starting this thread... here it is seven months after his passing and I am back on OSO just going through these old posts... How the world has changed since then.

Words cannot convey our sense of loss nor the gratitude to you and all those who chimed in with words of comfort in our darkest hours.

"Thanks so much"... is totally inadequate... but it's all I have right now.

Mike Stancombe, Marc G. and Scotty B and Haggin, The Jerzy Boyz, Throttle up, the OSS staff and everyone else who ever had a kind word and a helping hand for us... you are loved appreciated.
