It was 1985 at New Orleans. Sal had won his race and AL,Stan and Bill had won theirs. As Stan was driving back to the hotel, in his Porsche 930 coupe, he saw Sal in his moped. Stan says" Bless me Godfather" and Sal, always generous with Stan says" You are my Godfather". As everyone can see they both had a great laugh. I found this photo at Stan's office,where the whos who of Offshore Racing are pictured in many of photo albums. I am sure Stan will add insight to the story. Stan and Al are an encyclopedia of boat racing. Somebody should make a movie on those years.
