and ryan is right, the electronics were getting way out of control (when qatar complains about victory, you know they are spending some serious cash) |
Maybe the US racing orgs should take the opportunity to meet and discuss the proposed rule changse with Class 1 at this time, maybe see how much common ground there could be so that maybe in the near future this could be an international class with the same rules not just similar like the super stock outbaord class

Reason for New Prop Rule?
Has anyone asked a Class 1 racer why they voted to change their propeller rule? What was the old rule?
Thanks, Janet |
i would suspect cost

Props were getting out of hand..5axis was building some wild stuff that really ran...cost was crazy
Victory had developed some gyro type controls that were unbelievable... Steve Curtis said they were simplifying the whole deal like SUPERCAT .....Definetly going in the right direction i think they were going with 3 sets of props only too Electronics drive cost crazy whether engine or boat management.. Actually pretty cool... |
