Some Racers Advice..
Being married can extend a man’s life by ten years over unmarried males. Conversely, it also shortens his racing career.
I like to think I would have won every race I ever entered, if only that guy hadn't waved the checkered flag so soon. It's lonely at the top, especially when there is no one below you. The best race advice I ever got; "Win the race by going as slow as possible". |
You must be trying to win awfully hard!

"the boat's were here before you got here and the'll be here when you're gone too." ...it did take me a lot of work to find the next wife w/that being said.

my current wife has seen me all busted up...BAD...she is more than ok with what i do...hell, we laugh about all the trauma my body has taken...she doesn't like the fact no one has survived a 160+ crash and our race speeds are over 190 now.

A friend of mine had a sticker on the back of his truck that said "we interupt this marriage to bring you the racing season" that being said I was once seriously dating a woman that had a little girl and I had pretty much become a father figure. At that point (i was racing atv's, pro level) I hung up my handlebars. I was racing to win at the top level of the sport and if I only had my life to fak up, that was one thing, but I didn't see it as fair or responsible to regularly risk life and disabilty when there were 2 other people dependent upon me.
