looking at some of the boats over there and what I notice with Reggie, OL and skater....they are cutting the decks down a good 35%....I would think it lowers the certer of gravity and less drag....Dougs boats seem to have the tallest boats out there....I think its great and the way that the Manufactures get the input from the race teams they have to better there product....Doug has more then proven he has the best if not one of the best SS boats out there....and think his 38 could be out front in the SCL hulls.....

monkey see, monkey do is okay if you are a monkey. :drink:

remember that DW (or DW built boat) pretty much has dominated superstock for the last decade. Now, with the 38 in 850 (after only a handful of races) starting to show signs of following suit. I wouldn't worry about mimicking other builders for no reason, the shape of the DW is purposeful for many reasons. Everybody knows cats are very aero sensitive (from all directions), so the shape of the boat needs to be designed accordingly.

as far as the 38 working in SCL, probably not, really needs to be a 36 or so to really compete with the much smaller/shorter 36 skaters.

Pretty much what I would have said Sean H but you did it a lot better then me. Watch the 38 in 2009. I t will be the one to watch for sure.

the 38 has been tweaked/worked/tested/setup for the upcoming year, it should be interesting.
