Anything New about SBI on television?

Anyone? Anyone?

Nothing... I guess like last year in New York when John Carbonell said for all the teams to get to the event, because sponsors will be there. Danny Gadarian promised a party at the Hard Rock Casino... Then you guys show up and have a party under a tent, in the rain, at a park! That's all it takes to keep you coming back for more!

I guess having John Carbonell and Danny Gadarian, tell all of you and the whole world, via press releases and media quotes, that the SBI season will be broadcast on CBS Sports Spectacular, starting Oct 3rd, 2009! Then showing up at a drivers meeting in Clearwater and admitting they didn't get it done! That's all it takes...

They (SBI) did replace the event sponsor page info for the Clearwater race with the truth, taking down what was previously published on SBI's website.

It included Hard Rock and the Seminole Indian Tribal Council's logo's as sponsors of our race event in Clearwater!

Let's see what JC spins this time... Like a race schedule he promotes that has only a few sites that actually pay the sanctioning fee! It would be interesting to hear what he tells the race committee's that actually pay, how he justifies who he does and doesn't charge!

The racers need to end this debacle, they are the only ones that can! Stand up and do something about this guys!

I have the inside scoop on you.

To come on here and make statements like that, when you were just recently promoting the future of offshore racing, only hurts our sport more.

Sounds to me like JC finally told you to F***Off.

And Im pretty much telling you too.

Maybe I'm mistaking you for some one else but I was under the impression you worked with JC / SBI, werent you banging the SBI drum a while back telling everyone how SBI had it going on?

I'm truly lost .... Now I know how my wife feels :poopoo:

He is no one who portrays himself as someone.

He never worked with JC or SBI.

No organization, be it Race or promoter wants anything to do with this character. He has a reputation of being a loose cannon, that goes back to 2003.

I will not get into this other than to say........
Go to the SEARCH area of Offshoreonly and type in
"John Carbonell is a jerk"..............and do some research and read some history of those who came LOOONG BEFORE YOU, and cried and complained and tried to bash their way into offshore racing - not by racing - but by trying to prove how much smarter they are than he is.
Many many many of those people will be in Key West next week in one way or another ......having a great time. And those who never get over their issues, will be home watching Ryan Newman replays.........and looking up the word debacle.

Coach, how can you come out like this. If all the BIG SHOTS would have given the $$$$$ they said they would, there would be TV, Hence, NO MONEY NO TV! Don't you know at the end of time there WILL BE COCKROACHES, TWINKIES, JONN CARBONELL and SBI ! No matter what is said or done, NOBODY is forcing any team to race SBI, it's their CHOICE.

I thought about it but Augie's quote makes me smile every time I read it :drink: Besides, the inside scoop says the TV thing isnt dead .... just delayed.... and until it happens or until we know for sure the plug has been pulled, people are going to keep asking about it. We know there is film. Even if it never makes it to CBS, I think it would be cool to see somebody do something with it.... even if it only makes it to youtube :cool:

As I do Pat D., Bruce S., all of the teams, that are either sponsored or not, it seems a lot of people are making personal sacrifices for the love of this sport! My own included, but that's not the point I wanted to make here.

Viability is the point, pure and simple connecting the dots on a sincere accountable and ethical basis. Having a viable platform for offshore powerboat racing has been the problem all along. In other-words, if it had been that way from the beginning we wouldn't see what we have now!

Out of respect for the racers, that John Carbonell said "are all a bunch of liars", to my face last Jan. 25th when I met with him to sign the letter of intent to bring SBIP to Clearwater this past month!

For those that say they respect JC, your politeness is recognized, but he has only one person in mind, only one. Otherwise episodes like last years, debacle with the Mercedes Benz poker run boat would have never occurred!

Ya know if your that mad at a person, orginization, take it up with them. Sometimes (most) posting this negativity vendeta type of stuff never works and more often that people think runs off a possible potential sponsor for a team when they (potentual sponsors) read this junk. It puts a little hesitation in em.
