I wonder that myself T. I had a long conversation a few weeks back when I was told straight up 95 was it and there was no moving from it. Another day in the secret society. lol

I think changing it to 90 is a great idea..but Im not really too involved with SBI other than i can garuntee 2 boats from our shop in P3 for KW next year

SBI is trying to combine as many classes as possible to build classes and better racing with bigger boat count perclasses. This direction will grow classes in the further and result in growing the sport. SBI goal is to try to have better competition and bigger boat count with less classes in turn bigger purses per class with the same $ 75 ,000.00 dollar total.

So far it seems to be working with the new Superboat (750/850/ SCL) Class, the new Superboat P1 class and doing away with P5 and combing 5and 4 together.

Not sure who u spoke to but it is in the rule book now, and the new rule book is now on line. SBI gets tons of calls and emails from class rep and racers . All the info is reviewed and changes are made to better the sport. There are still others on the table but nothing will be done till after KW.

I dont know who the conversation a few weeks back was with either, however, I can attest to when B was building his boat, he was building it for the 90 mph class that lasted a whole 5 days then went up to 95 w/o any notification whatsoever. He then had to make some changes to his build(to obtain 95), which of course cost money and now its back down to 90. Break out the check book again b and get those new smaller pitched herrings to slow your butt down!!!:lolhit:

T, It is a wicked kick in the nads when you're told 95, Fine. You then go out spend 4k on wheels for 93/94 then am told, no its 90. Sbi has not told me this btw. Maybe they lost my number amonst all the other P4 guys. I even made an atempt to change it to 90 30days ago. I guess it worked but I wish I was told it did.
