Just Sad..

..instead of all being fired-up to attend the Worlds...

..we've got boats "seized"..classes boycotting, *****ing...blah...blah...blah....

kinda pathetic....

sorry..that's my .02, no solution.

NASTY HABIT 10-30-2002 03:10 PM

I couldn't agree more...kind of puts a damper on the discusions a friend and I have had about trying to run a circuit next year..to date the leg work has not yet begun...maybe that is a good thing ...I dunno..

maybe we should just proceed and hope for the best and enjoy being able to persue our interests...

Sh&% happens....whadayado

certainly not a real good time to propose either sanction to a potential sponsor...

BODYSHOT1 10-30-2002 03:30 PM

I hear ya'...I'm in the same boat (pardon the pun ;) )..

the OPA guys are a bunch of fun though..so I'm looking forward to next season..

Hang in there!

Ya know at one time I thought I'd try factory racing, even had some sponsors. After watching events unfold over recent times I honestly think it would be a lot more fun to just find a sponsor and run the Poker Run circuit.

Not a lot of rules, just a good time and the sponsor gets the same exposure.

I know alot of you guys are serious about racing and I am not trying to take away from the sport here. It just seems you are going thru hell for the sport you love

Hot Water

I have to tell you, this year is the most fun I ever had racing. We ran the entire Pro series (Except Bahamas) and Pacific Offshore series. The guys we race with/against are the reason to race.

I have only expectation from APBA -Offshore, that is to put on an event I can race at. All year they did. All this other stuff you read here is banter. Fun to read, fun to laugh at, damm little to take seriously.

If you are thinking about racing, don't let the banter dissuade you. The teams that show up and the APBA staffers that put on the show are all good guys/gals. Come the end of the season, you'll have plenty of time to think about the good times you had. Come out and race.

You have the best attitude Flashwave...you should visit some of the other active threads from the day!

Can't get enough of you!

FlashWave

Thanks for the input, this kind of positive info doesn't seem to get out much.

I just might see you at the races :)

Good Luck

I agree with Flashwave. The last 2 years of racing have been a hell of alot of fun. You win some, you lose some, but at least you know you were playing on a level field! The Factory 1 teams are very competitive but have alot of respect for one another and generally like each other. I can't say anything bad about any of the teams we race against, only good things. Get a boat and let's go racing.

Great attitude guys. Some people take this board too seriously.

Go get em and race safe. If you come to NJ, we'll provide the safest race course on the series today.

CigDaze 10-31-2002 07:33 AM

Nice!

Now, that's exactly what we need these days! Kudos to those looking up!

Let me tell you, for someone like myself who tries to make it to every race possible, who sets their vcr every sat morning and likes nothing more than getting into the offshore spirit, the attitude comes across loud and clear from those with positive views.

TYPHOON 10-31-2002 07:51 AM

Dont forget me.I love racing with a good attitude.Jim is right we are lucky they put on the race or we really would be stuck with this nasty need for speed and no where to get rid of it.

The F1 class is definitely the best class to watch. More action, closer races and more "hanging it on the edge". Plus, I can relate to it a lot more(I doubt I will ever own a 40' skater). I have also noticed that the F1 class is also the class where the guys seem to have fun. I think that is awesome. I used to race snowmobiles and I got sick of the attitudes and arrogance. I think it is great what is going on in the F1 class.

PS: Anyone need a driver? ;)
