Anyone have a log of these races through the 90s?
and when did this organization fold?
race schedules from 1989-1996?
Anyone got some good dry pits pics?
......and anyone remember the Chicago race that got cancelled probably around 1995? I believe there was a fatality that was not race related (before the race)

1990 was 29 years ago. A good chunk of this forum was still in diapers, those that were in high school then are in their mid 40's. Those that experienced these events are senior citizens or dead.

Some of the best racing ever. I remember riding my bicycle downtown Chicago watching all boats go in at navy pier by crane. Then we would ride over to the wall at North Ave. beach and watch race. All classes would run full bore about 30ft. off wall. Tons of boats and best veiwing spot in powerboat history.......Will never be the same

I also remember the Chicago accident, I believe it was a 33 powerplay that flipped in front of Navy Pier. Pretty sure accident
happened on Friday around sunset. Had nothing to do with races, but there was a fatality so the whole weekend was cancelled, dam I was young then with a full head of hair. Running around back then in a kamma drive 302 formula, running 300 shots of nitrious (very rare back then). Boat would hit like sledgehammer. Was a blast blowing by the big boys back then, most usually gave up cause we would pull away so fast, but the smart ones would run us down, couldn't spray it forever

Not dead yet, but definitely a senior citizen. Still boating on Lake Erie every year.
