Race Insurance
 

Can anyone shed some light on insurance for occupants in a race boat. We are putting together a new team for class 4 this year and our question is this? Does anyone know of an insurance company that would insure the race occupants in the boat during a race for a accidental death and dismember (AD&D) situation. We are not looking for life insurance per say, just something that covers an accident while racing. I got to believe that something is out there. Big names in NASCAR or other big race teams drivers/throttleman got to have something extra in place. I understand all of the coverages that OPA/APBA offer but I have found nothing or no company that would insure during an actual race. My current life insurance policy stricktly states that its void if I engage in a "speed contest" or "race." Any thoughts or direction? Thanks, Jim
