HI,
I'm writing a spec screenplay that imagines the Bahamas 500 being run today, with today's boats and technology but the protagonist is someone who has to come out of retirement and must enter it using their 30/40 yr old boat.
I have some questions to help my research. Anyone interested in helping?

Thanks for replying. Been trying to send you a screenshot of a OPB that competed in the 80s but the forum won't let me attach it. I wondered if you knew anything about it. Make/model/spec. The owner/driver was Juan Serralles. The boat was sponsored by Don Q Cristal. Think it's because I'm a new user? How do I get around this?
