GM Vortec.....do I read this correctly??....wow.......
 

To be eligible for any/all contingency awards, all teams must comply with the following:


Team provides proof of ownership (title) of 2002-2004 model year GM tow vehicle (GM
Tow vehicle defined as Truck, Van, or SUV manufactured by General Motors). Vehicle
must be owned by an active race team member (i.e. owner, driver, throttle man, crew
chief) and be visible onsite at race events. Vehicle must be purchased and proper
documentation of ownership must be submitted prior to the first race that a team would
become eligible for contingency awards. There will be no retroactive payments of
contingency monies.

It's my understanding that this is for the aditional money being paid out at the race site for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.

so wait...maybe i missed something?????

win every race 9 races at 600 per finish for a total 5400 bucks...but i have to buy a 30-50K vehicle to get it??? this is also provided that these #'s are 100% cash...they may not be???

It sucks when the manufacturers require you to actually use their product to receive contingency $$.

Good thing Ford and Dodge don't require that. ....oh, they don't have $$ for Offshore....sorry.

do you have to run thier engines in the boats as well???

Hi Joe, if only lets say 2 boats win out of all the vortec classes that can run there engine then each team would split the 3000.00 for first by 2, each team get 1500.00 check at the race sight before heading back home. Hope that answers the questions about the money.

Thanks Rick, I didn't think of It thataway, It's getting better all the time, now if I can just get the money togeather. How is the supply of Vortechs running, heard their might be a shortage?

Fastedy, you could become a Vortec man. Call Innovation talk to Dave get a deposit in, and get in line for more power,then you will have the biggest and badest boat in F1 for all conditions ,just like us in SVL 2.

Gentlemen,

The GM Vortec contingency program is an all "real" cash program to be paid out as soon as all racing classes finishes are declared official and final. The Program hopes to be able and write checks on Sunday afternnon right after the last race (Classes F1, F2, SVLI, SVLII and Super Cat Light). As Rick Turmel (a participant last year) pointed out the program is built around a winners pot (one for each place) that is divided by the number of 1st, 2nd and 3rd place Vortec team finishers. If there are no finishers in that place (i.e. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd) then the money will be put aside and either added to a later race pot or be put into a special contest later in the year (perhaps for pit crews or something). In other words all monies will be paid out in cash.

As is the case with "all" programs there are requirements that must be met to be eligible for this optional award. A regular member of the race team must own a 2002, 2003 or 2004 GM or GMC tow vehicle. Corporate sponsors allocate monies carefully to causes that will help them sell product. In this case GM/GMC is trying to boost truck sales by pulling on the image of "Vortec Power under the hatch or under the hood - big, bad, capable, durable and above all professional grade"
