Racing in the Moguls

I would like to thank the brave souls, that put on their helmets today, and gave the fans the best arial shots they have probably ever seen. Even with the lowsy weather, everyone was just so pumped, I was amazed. One of the new teams who traveled down from Rhode Island, "Sonic Boom," gave it a great run, I had the pleasure of meeting the entire family and crew after the race, some of the nicest people you would want to know. John Franco, and company welcome to the Jersey Boyz. And as usual the man Bob Oliver and the famed 41 Apache FIREWATER, just mowed down the seas, and the competition. Thanks to Jay Muller for bringing up his 36 cobra from Fla. Wild Card, what can I say, you guys are out of you minds. ( I love it). To all the other teams, Getum ready, Seaside is right around the corner. Ed

Talk about jumping into the thick of it!
That was one rough race!!! When we came out of the river and saw those huge bumps, boats dissapearing and re-appearing in the milling area, Holy S**t, what have we gotten our selves into!!
We had a blast though, John & I are hooked. We can't wait to come down on the 21st to run again.
We had a blast!! Everyone was wonderful, we felt very welcome. Special thanks to Eddy and his people for the help with the boat launching and hauling.
Everyone in our group had a great time!!

Thanks again,
TomR

Jeff: On Randy's on-board video, there is an uneffingbelievable snippet: Wild Card going straight up into the sky, right over Randy's right shoulder, as if it's a rocket going to the moon. Then they fall back on their ass and they just keep on going.

ScottB 06-03-2003 06:57 AM

Peconic, you need to figure out how to post that on board shot.

Will, Everyone on land and water commented that you guys were the most exciting boat to watch. You appeared to be running the hardest or at least flying the highest.

You guys are fearless!!!!!!

See ya in Seaside.

Ron,Thank you for getting the race off at all.You did a wonderful job to get the start going after what happen to the sunseeker. We had a blast but we are sore.We will see everybody in seaside.

packinair 06-03-2003 04:29 PM

yes Ron great job like alway's good seeing you . by the way I talked to one of Toney's crew member's today and he said the problem was't with the boat. apparently Toney was mixing his drink when the olive popped out as you know the seas wear very rough and the rest is history

Ron P 06-03-2003 10:16 PM

Yup, Tony knows how to rough it. You gotta admit, that was the coolest pace boat yet.

Next race, No Discipline and Just Trucking as pace boats. Both 42 Outerlimits, one's a stand up and the other a GTX sit down model.

Peconic 06-04-2003 09:34 AM

Will: Next time, please bring parachutes and notify FAA.
