Its nice to hear that the racers and fans had a great time. Isn't that what counts? Anything over 25 boats puts on a nice show.

Smitty said it was the best venue he's been to yet. Nice going folks, it ain't easy to please everyone.

There were not 78 boats racing in Sarasota, take a look at the official results ... there aren't even 78 boats shown on the official results page:

Note that several boats were DNS (and I'm not sure which ones exactly were or weren't there, I'm pretty sure Desantis was not in Sarasota for instance) and that 10 boats raced both Saturday and Sunday (take a close look at the PX, PV, and P1 classes). I count 57 different boats that actually started the races.

Just like I don't believe SBI numbers floated (like 40 entries for Orange Beach), I don't believe APBA numbers without checking them for myself.

Actually, don't want to get in trouble here, I can definitely vouch for Offshore Addiction, another DNS, was definitely there, so that's 58 boats counting them.

DNS'S SUCK, but thank you to Merc Racing for a tireless effort to get us going.
