im'm not wountaing to start a pissing contest but why are super vs running 525efi that is a factory class motor ? what is super about 100 mph when they can run 140 mph

audacity 08-28-2003 06:26 AM

12-15 vs 1 running in the class.

ScottB 08-28-2003 07:24 AM

close competition, cost effective, most all finish

BILL W 08-28-2003 08:00 AM

Cost effective, close racing, parrity in the class so the guys with the best set up,best driving and throttling ability for that paticular day and of course with hopefully no break downs will win.If you look at other super V classes in other organizations the guy that breaks after all of the rest is usually the guy that wins or the guy that won just plain out spent everyone else and that is why APBA runs super V the way they do.

Obviously you have not seen the racing this year. They are putting on one heck of a show with 10+ boats per race.

sauron 08-30-2003 10:16 PM

agreed, how many 140 MPH boats will even run wide open for 75 miles without breaking? APBA has it together and will probably have 14-15 boats at the Worlds. Roger (215) Super V
