Ft. Lauderdale /RV Parking

I am looking for input, advice or suggestions for Parking/Residing in an RV over the Weekend at the Ft. Lauderdale race. I know that parking is going to be difficult as it is very limited and I have been unable to find a hotel that we can park and stay in the coach. I know that there is space of course for the boats but where is everyone putting their rigs?

Thank you in advance!

I have spoken with Michelle, bless her heart for speaking with me! She is so very busy as we all know, but she was not able to assist me with Coach parking/overnighting. She does have some parking reserved, and I am sure that the supercats teams and others with rigs will be needing theses spaces at the Radison. Trucks Parking is so very limited and I am hoping to find somewhere that I can stay in the coach!

Is there a car dealership that wants some exposure? I woulds suggest a Parking lot in a mall, movie theater,K-Mart,ect. What about at Martin Marine? We will all be in the same predicament if we dont find a place soon! We need our motor home to operate. Is this a problem for anyone else? Safety in numbers folks. I would think if we could all ban together it would help Michelle out on this parking problem.
Are any of you locals to this area to scout this out?

GUYS - I hear what you have said and I have found a solution via our wonderful New Auto Toy Store, Aqua Toy Store, Anthony Aviation, Anthony Cranes, Hummerzine Sponsor - Mr. Ray Anthony.

Ray has just purchased the space formerly known as Alpine Motors, located next door to the New Auto Toy Store - as well as owning the space across the street. Both will be available for RV parking and they will tell me tomorrow how many spaces are available and how much they will charge, very minimal I am sure.

The parking lot space in the pit areas will not accomodate the RV's however, I am told during daylight hours, you can park across the street from the Radisson at the city lot, and move to the Toy Store in the evening.

The spots Julie has referred to in the parking lot at the Radisson is for the teams that must have their equipment stationed there (Super Cats - those coming in from far away). They will not be parked inside the gated pit area, nor will they have pullout hospitality, only used as shops to go in and out of, due to space. They will be given space by the Radisson for parking only and it is $50 a day for that spot. Reliable, WHM and Montano have those spots for their equipment, and I have 6 left for that purpose only.

We have extended use of the Competitive EDGE Marine trailer to all of you inside the gate for any repairs you may need to make, it will be located next to inspections at the Crane Chute. Julie will also be providing her services from there, and if you need to store equipment from your RV to use later, you can do that. We also have a shop down the road a few minutes for any larger, last minute repairs.

Give me one more day to get the pricing for you, it will be minimal at best and is extremely convenient for you. The New Auto Toy Store is located on Sunrise BLVD, just west of Federal Highway and to get to the pits from there, you go East on Sunrise until you hit the beach, then right. About 5 minutes to Radisson (due to traffic.)

Please make sure to extend info to your teammates that whoever stays in the RV's, please be courteous, no BBQ and Beer parties, ok??? We should keep them busy enough with our events
that all they need to do is go back and sleep!

till tomorrow then -

PS - PLEASE get your entry forms in if you are coming.
THANKS
