To maximize the performance of the six blades the boat needs to be set-up for them, or, you want a prop to stay hooked up in rough water conditions. You will find the six blades to be an excellent rough water prop, even on boats with low X dimensions.
To get the max speed and performance, however the X dimension needs to be raised higher than it would be for a 5 blade prop. Usually about 1/2" higher. We will be testing the sets we have through the winter. If anyone has a boat that can turn a 32 or 33 pitch 5 blade and is interested in testing these props give us a call. Julie |
Hey Julie...quick question. I know it varies, but on average, how much reduction is there in slip between 4 5 and 6 blade props?
|
are they jus for a bravo, how about a #6? my boat did run a 6 blade herring when it had 1400,now it wiil have 1300 with a high x.
|
Sorry Outer 42....they will not fit on a #6.
|
are you doing one for the six.herrings are like gold. i guess i have to suck it up and buy another set of herrings.
|
Julie and Matt,
Thank you for a great job dialing us in and getting our SCL to be competitive out of the box. We are looking forward to a great year in 2004. Chris Reindl |
Bruce,
What a great question! Now assuming all things are equal. ie: Drive/ Height then it is approximatly 4%. However in real life dial in application we would raise the drive height to maximize the increased performance with the additional blade! Julie |
Chris,
Lets play with these props! Julie |
OK....Just got the call....
MORE NEW PROTOTYPES ON THERE WAY! Stay tuned! Julie |
Julie:
Would they work on White Trash? Currently turning a 29pitch 5blade Hydro that should be a 28 .... Those 32 / 33 pitch numbers quoted, are these Bravo pitches or Hydromotive pitches? |
The 32P would be a little to tall but, as soon as I get the 27P and 28P 6 Blades they will be sent your way...of course!
Julie |
Chris ,
We want to thank you for working with us as well! Now let's do some testing!!!!!!!!!! Julie |
We are ready when you are. We were in the water all week witht the bat boats... time to get the cat dialed in.
|
Julie,
Keep me in mind if you get anything that you think will work for us.I'll be in Key West the week between Christmas and New Years doing some testing so keep me in mind. Frank Koolhand |
Julie
Wazzup could probably spin them our X is at 21 with a 1 in spacer. Spins a 32 at 6200 1.5 ratio. Would love to try them. Ed
|
Chris,
We will be in touch. Frank, You are always in my thoughts. I do have something for you to try, I'll call you about it. Ed, Anytime, let us know when you are going to test and we will send them to you. Julie |
Julie,
when do you expect the 27p & 28p in?? this would be the size wheel that would well for us. |
They will be available for next season and we will have one of the first sets as test props just for the SVL boats. We will let you know a more exact time frame when we find out.
The plan, as I understand it, is to have the 6 blades available from 27 to 32. That range should cover the SVL, F2, SV and SCL classes. |
Thanks Julie, looking foward to talk to you about it. Tring to set-up another Kilo run and take a shoot at 90mph.I'll let you know where and when.

LET'S DO IT KOOLHAND!
