Its Time For Me To Leave Offshore

Guys,
I the 4 years I have been doing this...its has its ups and downs....but I have sunk to my all time low getting in conversations with some people...I seen the things that were said in the past and I said if I ever got like that...get the hell out..its not worth it anymore and its a continueing battle trying to keep things possitive around Offshore...If you do one thing good for the sport someone dose 5 things bad for the sport.....I told myself for 2004 I was just going to race and enjoy myself....But I see I am not going to be able to do that....the constant bickering and back stabing is not why I got into this sport....I have been involved in alot of sports in my years..some professional and some amiture...but it was never this constant battle...so its time for me to say goodbye to F1 for good and Offshore racing for 2 to 3 years if not forever.....Life is to short to be constantly fighting with each other and have to have your head on a swevil because of the back stabing.....So its been fun...I have met alot of you in person that started on OSO and the good people I got along with keep in touch...I have carried the stick along with other F1 guys...but I have ran with it for long enough...weather I went foward or backwards with it....I have done my best and I'm putting it down for someone else to pick up.
So this is my last post on OSO
Good Luck and safe racing
Steve you can delete all my Manitie..Manatee from your web-site....the Manatee is tired of swimming

As a fan I must say that I always enjoyed you and F1 and you definitely went forward with it. Looked great on the "year in review" on Speed.

Good luck with your future endeavors.

Gino,
I agree, Stay away from these boards for a while, people come on here to do good things and end up getting sucked in to all the bull ****. Look at Mike A as an example, I cant tell you how many times he has stayed off the boards only to come in to straiten out a thread only to get sucked in to all the people bickering and the next thing you know the thread is 3 pages long and nothing good has come of it. Look at Andrew Corn, you couldn't meet a nicer guy. He has come on here just to be slammed for his efforts. I have watched over the years, it seems that anyone who makes a living from boating, manufacturing or racing, starts out with good intentions only to get sucked in. There is one person who monitors this board, I've never seen him post who has avoided all of this crap.

Don't let this get to you, just take a break,

Eddie Simmons

Please re-consider Gino.

I assure you that the people that matter see through the "smoke and mirrors" act of some of the newcomers.

As I said a few days ago...your efforts are appreciated.

Don't let a few fools spoil it for you. That is exactly what they want.........and they are alienating lots of racers in the process.

Gino,

Eddie is right. Take a break from the board. This is a great place for communication and idea exchange, but unfortunately, too many people use this to drive personal agendas.

Gino, I hope you just tired and mad, and will realize this and come on back. You are doing the sport a great service. You are a pure racer, one who just wants to race. As with anything from a business to a family, people get mad, and want to leave, but in the end, things get better, and it becomes fun again.

Stay with your heart, and I hope that is racing!

Gino, whatever you decide I will back you as always BUT, take a little time as everyone has suggested! You are ALWAYS welcome with The Jersey Boyz and OPA. Regards, Augie.
