TRAVELODGE KISSIMMEE TO BE HOST HOTEL FOR THE ST. CLOUD
FLORIDA OFFSHORE CHAMPIONSHIP RACE

Mr. Chet Harwood, Chairperson, Boat Race Committee, St. Cloud Rotary Club, announced today that, “The Travelodge, formally known as the Best Western, has been selected as the host hotel for the Florida State Offshore Championship Race scheduled to be held on the weekend of April 2, 3, and 4, 2004 on beautiful East Lake Tohopekaliga in St. Cloud, Florida.”

The Travelodge is conveniently located next to Exit 244 on the Florida Turnpike. It has 200 rooms, two large swimming pools, a family restaurant offering a breakfast buffet, Tiki Bar, children’s playground and basketball area, gift shop, game room, guest laundry facilities and a free local newspaper.

Special features include free scheduled transportation to Walt Disney World, EPCOT Center, Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom. Children 10 and under eat free – one per paying customer. Adjacent to the hotel is a 9 hole, par 3 golf course.

Ms. Debbie Norris, Director of Sales and Marketing has set a special rate of $39.00 plus tax per night for up to 4 persons in a room for anyone attending the Spring Fling race event. Room choice includes 2 double beds or one king bed. All rooms have remote control satellite TV, in-room safes and telephones with web connections.

Ms. Norris said, “The Travelodge Kissimmee is very proud to be the host hotel for the Spring Fling boat races as we have been for many years and have really enjoyed the parade of boats coming through our parking area and parking here and staying here with us” The hotel offers a spacious area for parking offshore boats.

POINTS NORTH: I-4 West to Turnpike (Exit 77) or I-75 South to Turnpike, Turnpike South to Exit 244, hotel is on the immediate right.
