After further reports I heard numbers in the high 80's in calm water. Rough water was a differant story. It needs to be balanced and set up better.

The center of gravity has to be an issue. Remember, Rick ran a #5 with a custom Stainless Marine jack plate/extension box. If you never saw it.......it would blow you away. Lots of weight on the transom though compared to now.

I have no doubts that they will get the cg shifted and work it out for the lighter drive set-up.

Once close... I like to run a remote fill/discharge water ballast tank up in the bow... you can fine tune the balance under way to water conditions and as they change.
A 20 or 25 Gallon tank should do it.

Again, GREAT job on the boat!!!!

Bill the boat has a balast tank in it. Changed a few things and seemed to level it out better.
