200 Smiles
I just got back home from Orlando Florida where Reindl Powerboats was the main attraction for Daimler Chrysler Speed Week. We gave 140 people rides on Tuesday and about 60 on Thursday. "Iam still dizzy" All these people are now Offshore Powerboat fans. All smiles even from the few that were a little nervous getting in such a boat. Besides the batboats Reindl Powerboats arranged a Super V, a 28ft open canopy batboat, and a F1 boat. Its Saturday night the neighbors probably have stopped calling the cops about the noise of Super V thundering around the small lake. If anybody wants to have an awesome corporate event call Reindl Powerboats. Chrysler is glad they did.

Now that's cool. Take 200 non boaters for a ride in a bat boat and watch em smile. That had to be the highlight of their event.
Nice marketing work. Who put that together? Tara? |
Sounds great. Which Super V was there?

That must have been a great day. Very POSITIVE for boaters and our sport. Happy Easter to all. Augie

I still have a good throttle arm.:D :D It was great meeting you Frank and Trent, will see you soon in Miami. Brent who has the 28 open Bat boat dressed up as Bat Man and was driving around with his cape flying.:D I am sure we will have some more Offshore fans because of events like this. There will be a video link to it soon, when I get it I will post it. BG XO |

Smiles? Looked more like:D :D . It was kinda cool to listen to what the people were saying before and after the rides. They were like little kids waiting in line to get on a roller coaster ride :) Than they would come over to check their lap times against the other drivers. What a great concept for a corporate event. A fun time had by all. :)

Thanks to all who attended. It was a lot of work, but it certainly paid off, hopefully by building new racers and fans. Look for new faces on the board as we gave the webiste to many of the participants.

This event was a Blast!
Just about every reaction you can think of from people who had never seen an offshore race boat...let alone ridden in one. My favorite was the guy who "hooted" every time we bumped over another boat's wake. A special thanks to everyone who worked the dock and helped make things happen so smoothly. Over 125 rides and no one scratch on the boat. Great work! I needed some seat time in the new boat. I think I have the left turns down now. The way I calculate it...125 rides X 3 laps each X 6 turns per lap....thats 2,250 - left turns! Wow!! Ken Doyle |

Most of the time I kept the GPS turned off...riders where watching the instruments more than enjoying the ride. When all the monitors and screens where lit up and blinking. They kept asking, "what's this?".
The underwater camera that looks back at the drives was probably the most fun. "What's this?" "Gator Cam....helps me watch for big Florida gators" "They've got gators in this lake?" I would just smile and make another hard left. |
It was a blast we need to do that more often. I think the more people that know more about what we do the more fans we will have coming to the races. It was some of the best PR work I have ever seen. My hat of to Chris and his staff they did a get job. We did so many laps I was getting dizzy, but the crew on the docks were always there and ready...thanks guys couldnt of done it with out all of you.
