Biloxi: Paceboat - peaceboat?
With China, it was a ping-pong game. With Russia, it was a walk in the woods. In Biloxi, it might be two pace boats.
We are picking up indications that the directors of a large non-OSS race organization might be the pace boats in Biloxi. More as it develops. |

If the group is APBA and you can pull this off........I'll try to arrange to make that trip. I'll also hand deliver a case of your favorite beer or a bottle of your preferred liquor or wine to your pit area as a "peace offering". Mike |

And as far as that peace offering goes .. we are working on that ...

Your assumption is wrong.....Mr Peconic is toying with everyone again.
The plan is for the two above boats to tentatively pace in Biloxi. Your probably not the only one that assumed APBA, I have the inside scoop. |
I used to think that OSS had a chance to really pull it off and be the "professional" body. I guess I was wrong, posts like these just shows complete lack of professionalism and does nothing but stir rumors further hurting the sport.

Not too much to add...Just that Smitty and Augie were asked if they would like to join OSS as pace boats. They are on the board of directors of OPA.

Peaceboat? OPA and OSS have been battling?
|
thats a negative catracer....
once again, I believe we are reading into two different issues. the pace boats are one, and the peace offerings, well, I really don't have a clue. So I cannot comment on that. Maybe Bertel can help us out with that . |

Gentlemen!
It seem's to me that we are being played with words ! I for one am fedup with these games of words !:hothead: They are childish and are insulting our intelligence ! It is " PATHETIC " I really hope that the OSS get their show on the road, and not at the expence of others ! But with the lack of professionalism shown by some of their members, i truly doubt it ! |

Pace boats
Holy smokes!!!!!!!!! Things really can get twisted around here. Augie and myself are headed down to Miami to run with SBI. Our plan was to leave the boats there, and return two weeks later for Orange Beach SBI. With Biloxi falling in between, and quite a few of our OPA racers racing in Biloxi we decided we would show them some support from the Jersey Boyz, as they have supported us all along, by pacing the first OSS race. We have always stressed the importance for the racers to race where ever they felt comfortable, and enjoy. That is the most important factor in OPA racing, just trying to help it spill over. Take a deep breath, relax, and let the season unfold. You never know what is right around the corner. Smitty and Sticks

Mr. Velocity et al:
Post #1 says "that the directors of a large non-OSS race organization might be the pace boats in Biloxi." Augie & Smitty are the directors of a large non-OSS race organization. And they will be in Biloxi. And it is a very welcome gesture of peace and co-operation. Post #2 brought APBA in play, and subsequent posts complained that the nonsense perpetrated in post #2 wasn't true. Don't twist and then complain that things get twisted. Apparently, this gesture of co-operation and friendship is rubbing some people the wrong way. This happens in any peace process, and as in any peace process, the people who live in the past will be left behind and forgotten. |

Why do some of you read Bertals post. All you do is try to read something into every word he writes. Just dont respond if you dont like what he say's. He is having fun. And some of you are ready to pop a gasket over it.

Guys, Ladies...Smitty, Sticks, Waxin-Jaxon, Bert and I are going to Biloxi to Support our Friends and Fellow Racers. We need a break from the $hit winter here in the Northeast. Please don't make it to be anything else but The Jersey Boyz hitting another all time low that we can be proud of, having a great time with our friends, families and soon to be new friends.

Post #1 does nothing but instigate the comments in post #2, basically you set up the twist. No one one have been rubbed the wrong way if you came out in post one and said what was really going on. Just goes to show that the names may have changed but the games continue. Very sad and it surprises me that someone with the high caliber of EM would allow this to happen. |

I think it is cool that OPA is involved, but I agree with Mr Velocity.........why not just say that instead of being misleading? |
TorqueGirl, the only thing I can say about The Jersey Boyz being bigger than APBA is only if you are referring to my stomach (Great Italian food up here in Jersey). I'm sure APBA is going to do just fine. I spoke to Pops on Friday and he seems very positive, but I thank you for giving one to The Jersey Boyz! Augie

C'mon Randy, Bertel brings it upon himself. Besides, if all the chit he stirred was simply for his "fun", maybe he should get into WWF or some other sport that thrives on his crap & rumors. Back to the subject... My hat is off to Augie and Smitty for having the honors of pace boats in Biloxi. :) But, just out of curiosity, why wasn't Steve asked with the OSO Gladiator? |
Guys, you are much too politicized.
At the time of this writing, this thread had 674 views. "Julie reveals her jugs" OTOH, had 413 views. When men lose their interest in sex, then this is a sign of severe depression. |
Good point Gordo. Im staying neutral when it comes to his post. I like everyone! (even you)

Not to worry, The Delicate Sound Of Thunder has BIG OSO Decals on each side right along side The Jersey Boyz Logo. We got ya covered Steve! Augie
|
GO OSO GO! Hope you can come to Saint Petersburg though.

I for one love the Jersy Boys attitude. They ain't into politics or chest thumping. All they want is a place to race and have some fun. They make me want to move to Jersey!:)
|
Cuda you nailed it. No lines to cross, no political crosses to bare, just a boat, the ocean and some friendly competitors. No BS.
