The Nutz Test

3 new teams entered OSSVL this year, three new teams debut deboats this weekend in Biloxi.

Who will come out ahead?

Will it be The Blue Nutz? Team Wild Card. Powered by the Krazy Kubans. In a completely redone Phantom. Propelled by a HP525 with the Gipsy Drive: Imco Box. XR Upper. Imco Lower. The Blue Nutz must be the best prepared nutz. The minute the ice broke on the Raritan River, they were out there. Way out there. Way, way out there.

Will it be the Orange Nutz? Team Hocus Pocus. Powered by the Boston Stranglers. It's the ex-Ligourie Activator. HP3 on a straight IMCO. The Orange Nutz gave Miklos a run for his money in Orange Beach. They have the big water advantage. And they fear nothing.

Will it be the Black Nutz? Team Typhoon. Powered by the Jersey Boyz gone worse, Schleuss & Murray, the World Champions with a big attitude. Rick Turmel's famed Extreme Stainless Marine boat, redone by Grant Bruggemann. HP525, Gipsy Drive, same as above. The Black Nutz must be the most laid back team on the racecourse. And if they don't break or get DQ'd, they usually win.

Who will it be in Biloxi? Cast your votes!

The Nutz are propped-up by Throttle-Up

Thanks, Batt!! Looking forward to meeting half of your crew. Am disappointed that we won't see you in the Hot Rod Capital of the Free World.

Voted on Typhoon, based on experience for the first race, the Hocus Pocus guys proved the Activator has a lot more in it than whats been showing, The Wild guys are just Nutz period, If it were 6 to 8 footers my money would be on them, good luck all of you and be safe.

Peconic,

Which team has the most seat time in their respective boat so far? That is who I would vote for-

Ron P 04-22-2004 03:33 PM

Wild Card has done the most testing by far.

Randy still hasn't been in the new Typhoon yet.

tachyon 04-22-2004 05:33 PM

Typhoon - they test during the race:D

Peconic 04-22-2004 06:05 PM

True, true. Randy & Glenn will depart Newark at oh-dark-hundred on Friday and will inspect their vessel on arrival.

Wild Card has done extensive testing.

Eric "Side Show" Cormier though is battle hardened - he ran the boat in Orange Beach, came in 2nd if I recall right.

According to Randy, they deliberatedly held off from testing "to give the other guys a fighting chance."
