Story: Sea Quest Kids the Little League Of Boating will be at the Cincinnati Offshore Grand Prix from Friday June 18 through Sunday June 20. International in scale, this program of boat building for kids will teach children the basics of boat building and boating and water safety. Sea Quest Kids are looking forward to being in the great city of Cincinnati and a part of one of the premier Offshore Race Events for 2004. Construction of a 10-foot Sea Quest 100 scow-skiff will take place starting late Friday afternoon. We will also be building paddles, oars, and outboard motor bracket. Kids of all ages including all special needs kids are invited to participate.
While in Cincinnati, Sea Quest Kids will be attempting to identify local groups that work with kids and would want to become part of the little league of boating. Sea Quest Kids work with all groups that work with kids. The adult leadership is trained how to cut parts, lead the kids through building the Sea Quest 100, teach basic boating and water safety, and how to do events and education activities with the kids. Sea Quest Kids have done a lot of work with Boys & Girls Clubs, Scouts, YMCA, schools, churches, yacht clubs, marinas, fishing clubs, boat clubs, and all special needs groups. The City Of Philadelphia public schools and charter schools will be working extensively with Sea Quest Kids.
At the end of building the boat at the Cincinnati Offshore Grand Prix all of the names of the kids that participated will be put in a hat and a winner will be drawn. That young person will join the growing list of Sea Quest 100 boat winners in the Cincinnati area starting last year with our winners in New Richmond.

The next stop for Sea Quest Kids is Cape Hatteras on Monday the 21st where one of the most prestigious marlin tournaments in the world will have kids of the contestants building boats on shore while the adults are out fishing the tournament. On the final day of the tournament there will be a big paddle championship featuring the kids, parents, captains, sponsors, and local political leaders.
