Here comes Charley........
In the Keys, we can now see Charley on our radar coming off of Cuba and just about to Key West.
We have the AC turned down to freezer conditions in case we lose power tonight. As soon as he's done here.......HE'S COMING TO YOUR HOUSE. See ya later.....when I get power back! PD |

Re: Here comes Charley........
We are next!!!!!!!!!
The town is like a ghost town, kind of like Christmas. Everything is closed. We have things battened down, we will see what happens. Got to get the computer off the floor in case the water level comes up. We'll see what things look like in the morning. Be safe to all those in FL. |
Re: Here comes Charley........
be safe Matt and Julie and if you have any of our props please put them on top of the computer. just kidding ///// see ya soon

Re: Here comes Charley........
Glad to hear you didn't get much Klaatu. Let's hope we can be so fortunate here in Tampa. Looks like Ft. Myers and Sarasota might catch more of this than they were predicting yesterday.
Matt and Julie, stay safe over there across the bridge. I am fortunate enough to not be in an evacuation zone, so I'm battened down too. |
Re: Here comes Charley........
Happy to hear your OK KLAATU..
Stay safe DRG... We will see it later this evening... |
Re: Here comes Charley........
Marathon lucked out with only small amount of rain and wind. It's blowing more now but almost sunny.
Wish all of you on the west coast could be so lucky. Hang on and stay dry. PD |

Re: Here comes Charley........
As far as Charley goes, we dodged the bullet again.....was awakened at 1:30 am by howling winds from the south, blowing up the canal and rocking the boats , 35mph with gusts and lightning, lasted about an hour, very little rain.
Good luck to all of you on the west coast. |

Good luck to all of you on the west coast. Winds are picking up a bit, but it is still sunny outside right now. Good Luck to you guys on the West Coast, if you need to escape, come on over we'll take care of ya' Going Boating this weekend George?? |
Re: Here comes Charley........
We just had first feeder band, Altamonte Springs...Took about 5 minutes, next burst expected in 25 minutes....
Main eye now plotted just west of Orlando then going striaight up towards Jacksonville. Most stores out of batteries. Just reported accident on I-4 main highway rushing to clear lanes. Traffic was requested to be off major highways by 2-4pm. The TV coverage reminds me of the major earthquakes I went through in Woodland Hills , Ca. EXCEPT..... there wa no warning for the quakes. latah |

Re: Here comes Charley........
My tthoughts and prayers go to those impacted to the south and north of us (I'm in Altamonte Springs)..
Lottsa wind and rain and we are still without power. Sadly, the news reports two new named storms are forming.. Take care everyone |
