GLSCS in Cape Cod September 17-19

Keep an eye on the board this week for all the information regarding the race in Cape Cod. The Boston crew promises a great event.

All you OPA guys out there, we are currently talking with Kurt to put things together to join you in Camden in October. Hope to see you in Cape Cod.

Andrew Bloom

Andrew, any chance the OSS boats will be attending this race with GLSCS?

Is the race course near the beach or way out in the ocean again?

There isn't lot of water on the outer cape, its nerve racking as hell how shallow it is. What was it like last time for the spectator fleet, can you get pretty close?

It should be a real exciting race if "The Jersey Boyz" make a showing!!

Re: GLSCS in Cape Cod September 17-19

We are expecting a great turn out for this race. Our Series Champions will be anounced and the $20,000.00 Hi point fund will be distributed to the racers at the awards presentation.

To answer a couple additional questions from what we gather from Patti Loyd the race course will be about 3/4 of a mile offshore to clear the shallow water issues. We are already talking about nexts years event and a possible new location. More to come.

How about trying Lake Winnipesaukee (NH)? We haven't had a race in a while.

Talked with Kurt from OPA last night. They will also be posting all race information (Cape Cod) on their web-site as well. We (GLSCS Boats) will try to paticipate in the Cambridge race the week after Cape Cod along with the Championship Race in Camden. We are discussing bringing in our Television Show (aired on The Outdoor Channel) in the cover the Championship race.
