Sounds like there is going to be a race here on Cape Cod!
The "Sonic Boom Racing" team would love to have some of my fellow OPA members come on up and race with us. :drink:

From the GLSCS we would love to have all the OPA guys and gals come up for a great weekend. We are trying to work out a deal to come and participate in the championship race in Camden in October.

Yes, single event entries are supported by our group. We are working to put this deal together to lessen the cost in cooperation with participating in the Camden event. More to come.

Hi Smitty,

The dates are September 17th-19th. It's a perfect time to be on the Cape! The Harwich Cranberry Festival is that weekend, lots of things for the wives and kids to do!! The crowds are less, but everything is still open! It's my favorite month for boating!
It looks like "Sonic Boom" will race this race and fore-go the NYC race.

Augie ...the SBI/NY race is the 12th and 13th. Cambridge is two weeks after that.

Cape Cod falls right in Between. Unfortunately too much in too little time.

Maybe next year. Never been to Cape Cod, but would love to visit for sure

I know it's a lot in a little time, but it sure would be nice to have at least a few of the OPA teams represented!

It shouldn't be too hard on the boats, that time of year you are starting to see the prevailing winds shift from SW to NW, keeping the water fairly calm!

That would be great Augie! It will be nice to have a few of the teams that we are familiar with up here running.
All of the hotels that were listed in the racers pack are pretty decent, four of them are right on the water, Red Jacket, Blue Water, Riviera, Surf and Sand. Try to make it up on Friday so as to make the party on Friday Evening.

T.K.O. Obsession P-2/8 will be there. Also T.K.O. Sports Cafes' P-3/7 is dialing in now and should be there. Jersey Boys will like this water,

Is the water rough over there in the Cape, I see in an early post that it was said that the water would be fairly calm?? This is my first visit to the East and I would like to know what and where is a place good to eat at that is near the Red Jacket.

I always here about the Jersey Boys from my boss but who are they??

Harry, glad to see you guy's are going to make it! I heard Walter was out on Boston Harbor Monday tearing it up!! Sounds like he has it dialed in!!
Julie, the water on Nantucket Sound will depend on the wind direction and speed. If the wind is out of the SW, which is typical in the summer, 10-15knots it will be 2-4fts, if it is 15kot wind out of the NW which is more typical in the fall you will see1-3ftrs. But then again.......I have seen 6-7ftrs out there!!
As far as good places to eat, check out: www.capecodrestaurants.com and do a search in Yarmouth. You will be close to Rt.28/Main St. W Yarmouth,MA..
There are plenty of good places, Capt Parkers Pub, Skippy's Pier One, The Yarmouth House Restaurant, all within walking distance of the dry pits.

Hi Julie,
The "Sonic Boom Racing" (OPA P5-15) team will be there! We are from the area so we couldn't not run in a race that was in our own back yard! Hopefully we are going to see a good turn out of "The Jersey Boyz" at this race!

We are planning on boating Friday during the day so you can expect to see us late Friday afternoon to get signed up and of course attend the party!

Also, I was asked by Patti if we wouldn't mind helping to promote the event for the Cape Cod Chamber. She mentioned that they would like to have our race boat on display at one of the restaurants just outside of the dry pits. I can make arrangments to bring the boat over very early Friday morning if you folks would like.

TomR.....That would be super, Patti needs at least 8 boats and so far all I can get out my boats on this side are 3 committed, so yes please any boats that would like to set out to help promote the race would be great, THANK YOU for ALL your help Tom you have been great.
