Mercury Stops Production on Carb & EFIs

Just found out that Mercury Dealers were receiving faxes yesterday, 11-5-04 that Mercury will stop producing the Carb and EFI Outboards. Apparently they are not waiting till 2006 which was the EPA deadline.
Only choices now looks to be the 4 Stroke Optis and Verados... :( :( :( Rest in peace EFIs.... Parts will still to be produce for another 7 years from what I hear. You bet any of the used or new parts of the outdated engines will be costly. Another sad day for Hi-Performance.... :( |
