OLN will be showing the National Championship today at 1:00 PM,and again on Saturday at 3:30 PM.
Key West Worlds will be on Saturday at 4:30 PM following the broadcast of the Nationals at 3:30 PM.
Check the SBI web. site for the rest of the dates and times it is now up on line.

What happened to the Orange Beach Races? I dont know but the original schedule doesnt appear to be adhered to. Why is that?

On the OLN site it lists Orange Beach for Dec 16, why, I don't know, but it will be on

I thought it was good coverage and well produced.

It looked like a fountain commercial because Fountains were in the lead.

I'm biased because I won and didn't get 1 second. I am glad my sponsor doesn't even know or care that our races are televised. They just love the trophies

It wouldn't matter to me, I don't get air time either way. I think I have a total of 30 seconds in 5 years. In fact, if there was no TV, I wouldn't have to waste time time being interviewed for something that doesn't get aired. :drink:
I have been interviewed about 6 or 7 times in the last few years and never once has it made TV. It is kind of a running joke with my race team.
Don't get me wrong Mike, I am just stating my opinion. I am sure most like it

Sorry Mike... I have to disagree with you on this one. As much as I like the fountains you can only take so much of it being shoved down your throat. I have to agree with Scotty..... one big fountain fest.

Once again this is some of those common sense issues. I am not taking sides but Mike actually makes sense. Keith, I hope its ok to use you as an example.

It costs ballpark 60 grand to produce a 42 minute show(18 mins of commercials). The show is a floor building challenge. Your company is against Home Depot. You pay the 60 grand to have it produced. How much exposure will Home Depot get? Yes they will be acknowledged as a competitor, but as little as possible and the show will basically show the supierority of your product.

Then Bill it as an infomercial not a race. If I had to guess, 15 out of 70 boats made the show. They always say in the drivers meeting that the close races will be the ones that get TV Time. We won by 1 second, and that 1 second is more than the airtime we recieved. Don't get me wrong, I know the big boats are the show, but give me 3 or 4 seconds. We also had a pretty good wreck on film throwing Monty across the boat after a little stuff. I got great footage of that from Freezeframe.
How about a 2second shot of us holding the flag at the end.
Whatever, in my opinion it sucked

If Reggie paid for the TV, then it can't be much of a surprise as to who got all the coverage. I feel we really can't hold that against the Fountain teams themselves. I would enjoy the benifits if I were in their boats.
I think many of you may be trying to compare the recent OLN shows to those that were on Speedchannel a year ago. The nice thing about those shows was they showed the best side by side racing they could find with no bias towards any one boat manufacturer. Now THAT was great racing on TV !!
