Re: P5
Call Smitty or Augie about the rules for 05. As far as I know nothing is in stone yet. After Kirt stepped a side there has been hours of discussions on race sites. At the awards next week Smitty should have an over view of whats happening in OPA.

Re: P5
currently, teams are voting on rule changes for all classes in sbi/apba. opa will wait and discuss rule changes after sbi/apba establishes theirs.
and yes, they are considering length limitations. |

Re: P5
Hold it!!!!!!!!!Hasn't the 2005 season started already? Aren't all boat registrations paid for the 2005 season.Hasn't everyone who is racing the 2005 season paid his memberships at the worlds? I believe the Key West race starts the season. How can rules be changed after the season starts. Sounds rediculous to me to try and change rules that were just changed for the Key West Races. What happens to boats that get D Q'd. Do they get their money back? I DON'T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: P5
irace......
first off, 2005 registrations were only paid by teams that raced in KW and maybe some that preregistered for 05. The Key West race really ends the season. it doesnt start the upcoming season. Why do we pay membership fees for the upcoming season? I cant answer that. But thats the way its done. Second, the rules may possibly change to accomadate all boats from both organizations. It will only help in the parity of the classes. If you go back to a thread from almost a year ago, you'll see we've made some progress since that thread. You had some opinions back then too, but I dont believe I have seen you at any races. http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/s...4&page=1&pp=30 with all due respect, who are you and what team and class do you race with? |
Re: P5
Well said Bruce, it's only fair to modify the rules to best fit the boats of each organizaion. If the joining together of SBI and APBA didn't happen, we wouldn't be having this discussion
PS you coming the Miami for the show? |
