Right now fighting exhaust leak on generator and getting high co levels in back cabin. We think its coming from exhaust manifold on generator not the hoses. Any ideas?

we had a couple that had a broken exhaust manifold tied up next to us in a cove years ago, they had to be helicoptered to kc to be put in a hyperbaric chamber.

did you say the back cabin had the high levels? Is the generator in the front bilge compartment by the steering wheel.
if you want next time I am down there I can take a look at it.

the generator is located in the rear between the motors. I believe the gas was leaking out of one of the floor hatches into the back room. The back co detector, which we replaced that weekend, would go off at 100ppm. I had a portable co detector that reads co levels and when it got over 100 we just shut the door and turned off the generator and opened the windows and went upstairs until the levels went down to 0. It seems like it takes over a couple hours to get over 100 so it seems like something is gettin warm and expanding causing the exhaust leak.

do you run your blowers the whole time the generator is running? Check and see if the blower is blowing air? some times you will hear them running but the little plastic fan in there has came off and is not spinning.
also check and make sure the blowers are all blowing out so it will create a vaccume in there. our bluewater the engine compartment blowers had two blowing in and one blowing out and our co sensor would go off I made all them blow out and there is plenty of other vent space to get the air in, has not went off since. our generator is in the front and if I dont run the blowers in there it will set the sensor off after around an hour.

Hey Delo, Mike and Jim - I took my dad down to E dock on Sunday morning to look at the hardware. Needless to say, its an awesome display. :D
