Labor Day accidents?
 

Anyone hear of any accidents over the holiday weekend? i noticed a burnt out boat sittin on the ramp over at AYC today on my way back home. 24'ish ..

I heard of two boat wrecks but neither were severe. I got to call 911 cause some guy knocked himself out at the drip when his backflip off the bluff went bad. We pulled him onto my swim platform and he woke up.. he declined an ambulance and was walking and everything... craziness.. **side note, nurses on board - GOOD CALL!**

anyone else have any close calls or hear of anything?

Heard a pwc hit a dock in Woodard on Saturday. Young child - full throttle...haven't found any published info though.

We were tied up right by the dock. The kid hopped on the Sea Doo and took off real quick trying to splash people who were in the water. He kept looking over his shoulder to see the people that he splashed and when he looked back ahead he had already collided with the dock. GRDA came via two boats and the helo and then shortly after, life flight came and took him to the hospital. The GRDA later drug the damaged Sea Doo right by our boat taking it to shore. The entire front end was smashed up into the seat. Pretty scary - I hope the kid is recovering well. :(

This musta been around 3 PM Monday? Saw the GRDA come in hot, wondered what was up....

I woulda stopped over but did not recognize any boats - I only get over there about a couple times a yr:(

We were leaving the Drip jsut as the one LP came in real hot. We wondered what happened because there wasn't 15 boats in there at that time.

Ya, we were in the middle of the group that was tied up right in front of the bluff.. there was only about 6 or 7 boats tied together.. He was in the boat with all the hippie looking dudes on it.. once again, my water-level swim platform came in handy..

sucks to hear about the kid on the waverunner.. i hope he is doin well.. i hate hearing about anyone getting a bad impression of bein at the lake.. after that accident at the cliff, it seemed to pretty much kill the mood and everyone split..
