Where are...

Where are the places to dock and grab a bite to eat and have a beer? Mostly what I saw on the lake were private yacht clubs. Im used to LOTO where everything is open to the public. It looked like Harbors View may be a place to try. Any other suggestions?

We ate lunch at the little cafe. They had pretty good food, but I don't know that I would want to eat there everytime we go to Grand.

Ozzie's is decent - west side of Monkey Island. Ugly's is good in Duck Creek, but I think last weekend was the last to be open for the season. The Deck's is also pretty good down towards the dam.

Re: Where are...

Also, The place at Shangri La and Mooneys right by the dam. Cruisers at Port Carlos sucks but if we are there you can have a free beer. :D

Try Mooney's close to the Dam. On the East side the cove just before Cedarport. Awesome cheesburgers and cold beer.

Yeah Mooney's is the best burger on the lake. Like smilegas said, Ozzies is good too. Get the cajun shrimp. There is also The Decks, which is in "Rapier Hollow". It's pretty good stuff as well. Island Joes is at Shangri La but they are only open on weekends.

VIP needs to lighten up on the cheese and put some sauce on the pizzas, but still good and can get there by boat. I think they are about to go into shutdown for the year mode soon. Mooneys is year round.

Isn't Ozzies year round also?

Sea,

I believe they are. We have gone by car to Ozzies
during the off season in the past. Don't know the
schedule this year though.

A way?? That guy is a total prick 99% of the time. I bet his phucking dog bites him. It's been about 5-6 years since I have been there and I bet its at least another 10 years before I go back. :evilb:

Third that! We made the mistake of going over earlier this
year to see if anything had changed.........nope, still the same
azz in charge.

I have put my self-imposed ban back in place for another 6
years . It's really a shame, back when Greg or Morgan
ran it (in the 80's and early 90's) it wasn't bad and was a
pretty good place to go on this end of the lake (and close to
my house!).

Juans Mexican restuarant at Grove Sailboat bridge is pretty good. Docks are a little week. It can be shallow there if lake is low.

I'm taking note of all the suggestions here. Thanks for the input. I'm trying to get them all located on my map as I'm not at all familiar with the lake yet!

Thanks!

Thanks!

If you go to Ozzie's, be careful around Governors Island. Its really shallow especially right now.
